成人抖阴 Superusers: Has 成人抖阴 increased student engagement?

Engaging every student is the goal of every social teacher, and 成人抖阴 is engineered to do exactly that. Our 10 Superusers, who often started out as 鈥渢echnophobic鈥, share how they think 成人抖阴 has helped increase student engagement in their classrooms.

鈥淒efinitely.鈥疶he fact they know鈥疘鈥檓鈥痬oving around the room means they鈥檙e more focused and more able to ask questions. At the front of the room, they鈥痙on鈥檛鈥痑lways feel like they can ask you or are reluctant to do so in front of the rest of the class. But if鈥疘鈥檓鈥痺alking around, they feel safer to be able to ask questions and engage.鈥

鈥淪tudent engagement is really about opportunity. Being able to work in real time is authentic and meaningful. Without 成人抖阴, I might ask a student to read out鈥痶he start of鈥痑 narrative and other students鈥痺ill feedback about the craft of the writing. This suits the auditory learner. With 成人抖阴, they get that plus it suits the visual learners, and it allows for discussion and feedback on not only the craft of the writing but also things like punctuation, spelling, because鈥痠t鈥檚鈥痶here in front of them.鈥

鈥淏eing able to have a couple of videos running so鈥痶here鈥檚鈥痭o lag time scrolling from one to the next.鈥疘t鈥檚鈥痳eady to go. You can always pause and have a discussion,鈥疘鈥檓鈥痑lready part of the class and watching them, telling them what to find.鈥疘t鈥檚鈥痡ust seamless.鈥

鈥淒ecrease in lag time is the main thing. No cords. You just pop in the link or present your screen and within three seconds,鈥痠t鈥檚鈥痮n the board. Not having to go and find things. As soon as the kids lose your attention they go off on their own adventure.鈥

鈥淚鈥檝e鈥痓een able to use it to show videos of the class themselves doing their work and singing/dancing. The kids love it and鈥痠t鈥檚鈥痳eally easy to do this with 成人抖阴.鈥疶here are鈥痵o many things a teacher needs to know 鈥 but鈥扇硕兑 is so quick to learn it doesn鈥檛 need to go into the too-hard basket.鈥 鈥&苍产蝉辫;

鈥淚t makes it easier to use the computer and with a little practice, using technology can make a big difference on engagement.鈥疶here鈥檚鈥痑 lot of AV resources out there in my area 鈥 religion and humanities 鈥 there鈥檚 a great TED鈥疎d library鈥痶he number of animations on any topic are really good for creating engagement.鈥疶here are鈥痵ome great things out there for mindfulness in places like YouTube and Smiling Minds. It means you鈥痙on鈥檛鈥痭eed to lead the students in a meditation session, which can be a little awkward, instead you can put it on the screen and give them a more visual cue. 成人抖阴 helps you to use technology to engage more.鈥

鈥淚 think it has.鈥疘t鈥檚鈥痬ade projecting and visuals much more accessible.鈥疘t鈥檚鈥痶aken the hassle out of videos.鈥疘t鈥檚鈥痬ore seamless and doesn鈥檛 disrupt the lesson to put a video on.鈥疘t鈥檚鈥痚asy to do and integrate.鈥疘鈥檝e鈥痳eally enjoyed using 成人抖阴. For example, if鈥痺e鈥檙e鈥痵tudying the Tempest, it鈥檚 really great to show them a scene from a video or stage production. Used in combination with other tools it can really enhance learning.鈥

鈥淭hey can share what鈥痶hey鈥檝e鈥痝ot 鈥 it鈥檚 not just standing up and talking, it could be sharing a video, a piece of work they鈥檝e done or drawing. If they鈥檝e collaborated鈥痵omething鈥痶hey can share it.鈥

鈥淒efinitely. Students get a kick out of showing their work on the board. Students were begging me to share their work during a colouring competition.鈥疎ngagement is鈥痙efinitely a鈥痜actor, as long as you use it its full potential and get students showing their screens.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓鈥痑 firm believer that they have. When I ask them to log in, they are ready to go. Sometimes in music we get a little shy because we鈥痟ave to鈥痯erform all the time. But technology allows us to create without being the performer. You could do lots of things behind the scenes. It helps us have a conversation with older students that you can still be in the music business without performing. Sometimes students really shine when they can create without judgement.鈥
