˶ streamlines at-school communications on Android-based Panels via the new ˶ Display App.

Houston, Texas — ˶, the only wireless screen mirroring and school communications solution purpose-built for education, today announced a software-only version of its full suite of tools. The new ˶ Display App works seamlessly on most Android-based interactive flat panels, creating a highly targeted communication network to deliver messages more effectively to teachers and students throughout the school day.

“Classroom displays are a significant investment for schools, particularly if they’re interactive flat panels,” says Natalie Mactier, Chief Executive Officer of ˶. “With budgets tightening and an increasing desire for sustainability, schools must look for ways to deliver more value and longevity from existing hardware. With ˶’s range of communication features, these legacy displays can now be used for school communications as well as instructional purposes at a fraction of the cost of a new panel.”

The ˶ Display App for Android-based interactive flat panels will enable school leaders to deliver emergency alerts, video and text announcements, and digital signage directly into classrooms, as well as to any other ˶-enabled display or group of displays around the school. ˶’s award winning screen mirroring solution provides teachers with classroom management tools that drive student engagement and encourage greater collaboration.

“At ˶, we are committed to delivering technology that empowers educators with innovative tools to enhance the school experience,” affirms Ian Shrimpton, Chief Technology Officer of ˶. “By delivering ˶ directly into existing classroom displays, we make it easier for schools to unlock additional value.”

From June, the ˶ Display App will be available for download and installation on most Promethean ActivPanels. Additional releases will follow for other interactive panels, including SMARTboards, Clevertouch, CommBox, and Phillips panels. Schools using a mix of displays such as projectors and TVs can connect all their devices into one communication network using a mix of ˶’s hardware (˶ Display Box) and software (˶ Display App).
